Cooking on the Farm

Calling all elementary school students and their families! On Wednesday, September 28th (a district early release day) from 5:30-6:30pm, join the Durham Public Schools (DPS) Hub Farm and Durham's Innovative Nutrition Education (DINE) team from the Durham County Health Department for a FREE evening program of family cooking at the Hub Farm. Movie Night (Take a Child Outside)

Join us for an evening of family fun at the Hub Farm! Families will have the opportunity to explore the farm, engage with animals, and enjoy a movie on the big screen outside. DPS Community Plant Giveaway

Come out to the DPS Hub Farm outdoor pavilion to pick up baby plants for your fall garden on our district teacher workday and during our teacher open house! You can choose from vegetables like collards, kale, bok choy, lettuce, cabbage, herbs, and more! Plants are limited to 6 per family, and supplies are limited. 10th Anniversary Fall Festival

CFSA Workshop/Tour

This workshop demonstrates how educators at the Durham Public Schools Hub Farm engage learners and community members of all ages in farm work and the outdoors. The workshop includes a tour of the Hub Farm, a discussion on connecting to local resources for educators, and a sampling of activities and techniques used by Hub Farm staff on field trips and class visits.
