We now offer several options for homeschoolers that would like to visit the Hub Farm. Please contact Hub Farm Staff to schedule your visit, or if you have any questions.
1. Self-led learning:
Come walk around the farm, explore our various ecosystems and trails! We have some curriculum here that you are welcome to use, or you may learn with your own curriculum. Our curriculum offerings include: K-12 ELA and Math developed by UNC MAT students, and Project WET, WILD, Learning Tree, Food Land & People, and Wonders of Wetlands. Please use the Hub Farm Field Trip Reservation Calendar and Form to schedule your trip.
2. Project-based learning through Volunteering:
Join us for a monthly volunteer day as advertised on our social media pages and website, or schedule time for your group to come out and volunteer during the week. If you are interested in more frequent volunteering, let us know and we will work with you to find a task that suits your skills and preferences. Typically, volunteer tasks include weeding, planting, small construction projects, and animal care.
3. Group field trips:
Visit with your co-op or other interested groups for a trip facilitated by Hub Farm Staff tailored to your academic goals. Field trip fees apply. Please use the Hub Farm Field Trip Reservation Calendar and Form to schedule your trip.
